Companion can't find the controller on the network

LAN discovery uses UDP and mDNS. If the companion doesn't see the controller:

• Confirm both machines are on the same subnet.
• Allow the companion and controller through the local firewall.
• Use manual pairing: paste the controller's pairing URL or code into the companion.
• Run the Pairing Doctor in the companion for a diagnostic report.
